According to National Cybersecurity Alliance, Data Privacy Week 2025 (January 27 – 31) is an international effort to empower individuals and businesses to respect privacy, safeguard data, and enable trust. The goal of Data Privacy Week is to spread awareness about online privacy, and this year's theme is "Take Control of Your Data". 

When you work in the technology industry, data privacy is often top-of-mind. So, in honor of Data Privacy Week, we've selected two clips from recent ETR Insights Interviews where the discussion surrounded the topic of data privacy. 

The first clip features a head of data and AI transformation for a global insurance enterprise, who in the full interview discusses their company’s data management strategies, user education initiatives, and AI and data integration plans. The discussion surrounds the mitigating risks around AI accuracy and data privacy while ensuring adherence to regulations like GDPR without significant restrictions on growth. In this clip, the discussion looks at concerns about data privacy, regulation, security, and compliance as major barriers to adopting generative AI. During the conversation, our guest emphasizes the need for governance and compliance measures, including platforms that offer governance layers and on-premise solutions to control data processing and storage.
