Expanding its industry-leading research portfolio, next week, ETR will debut its latest offering, the ETR Observatory. Unlike other industry analysis, the ETR Observatory is designed to assess ITDM usage of a vendor’s product and services within a specific subsector, and not the efficacy of the tools themselves.
This offering will consist of an infographic and a comprehensive report. The infographic will show an intersection of a vendor’s spending intentions and utilization rates with its existence within the ITDM respondent population. The coordinating Observatory report examines the state of a specific subsector of vendors by triangulating data from ETR’s two core surveys, the Technology Spending Intentions Survey (TSIS) and Emerging Technology Survey (ETS); commentary from ETR Insights interviews with IT decision makers (ITDM) from the ETR Community; and proprietary industry analysis.
The first ETR Observatory will highlight project management tools showing which vendors are capturing the most spending momentum and organizational entrenchment among thousands of qualified, enterprise IT decision makers. Look for the inaugural report's release on May 31st, followed by two other Observatories coming in June and July.
Why rely on "magic" when you can rely on data instead? Our Observatory reports position subsector competitors relative to their peers based solely on ETR’s underlying data tracking spending, utilization, and entrenchment within our ITDM group, the ETR Community. Vendors are plotted on the infographic solely based on the data drawn from the ETR Community. Vendors are positioned in Leading, Advancing, Tracking, or Trailing groups according to Momentum and Presence in the market.
